Yeah I use a very similar build for AP however I was just sticking to the topic. Finish him for necrosis, and YMLAD for PI because skills become useless with AP unless you need an enchant strip but wit barbs stuff dies to quickly to risk laying down 2-3 spells.

To Topic,

For slot 8 I'll sometimes bring rigor mortis in ranger/warrior stance happy places. so physicals can activate MoP/Barbs damage.
Also Notice that there is no Signet of Lost Souls. I usually don't bring that skill because as a necro Soul Reaping should be sufficient. When Soul Reaping may not be enough in a given battle switch to a high set and gild warz. The only time I really bring SoLS is in mesmer heavy vanqs like parts of Vabbian etc.

And I do laugh at people who run arcane echo with SS but I don't like to come of with a holier then though attitude but then again none of the builds had an enchant removal....

Without expressing a difference of opinion you can't have much of a discussion or argument.
Enchantment Removal isn't really necessary either. It's useful in some of the harder areas where prots are quickly stacked if you're H/Hing (e.g. Duncan) but most of the time it's a waste of a slot.

oh i agree its not useful anywhere. I believe in my first post it was an optional slot. however no one even eluded to its situational use.
